This workshop will cover the basic tools you will need to become a working Actor.
- How to prepare for an audition
- What to expect at the audition
- Headshots and resumes
- Techniques in acting
- Working in front of the camera
- The responsibility of the actor
Each participant will have the opportunity to work in front of the camera
INSTRUCTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
With over 25 years in the business, professional actor Wally MacKinnon has worked across Canada in dozens of film and television productions. In addition to his extensive film background, Wally has starred in or directed over 60 Canadian theatre productions.
Wally has trained with acting coaches in Los Angeles and Toronto and for the past 8 years, he has been teaching UNB’s Acting for Film and Television class.
He will share his extensive experience in preparing for auditions and offer tips on achieving career goals. This hands-on course will cover résumés, photos, sides, readers, slate (in an audition), unions, agents, casting directors, and—of course—acting.
