This workshop will cover more advanced techniques in acting:

- Scene study
- Reading between the lines
- Tools for memorizing
- How to do cold readings
- How to win that audition
- Learning the role, not the lines
- Physicalization and sense memory
- Working in the moment


Questions to be answered include:
- Should I have an Agent? Should I join the Union?

Each participant will have the opportunity to work in front of the camera

INSTRUCTOR'S BIOGRAPHY

With over 25 years in the business, professional actor Wally MacKinnon has worked across Canada in dozens of film and television productions. In addition to his extensive film background, Wally has starred in or directed over 60 Canadian theatre productions.

Wally has trained with acting coaches in Los Angeles and Toronto and for the past 8 years, he has been teaching UNB’s Acting for Film and Television class.

He will share his extensive experience in preparing for auditions and offer tips on achieving career goals. This hands-on course will cover résumés, photos, sides, readers, slate (in an audition), unions, agents, casting directors, and—of course—acting.
