Final Cut Pro is an intuitive editing software that can be used to cut anything from consumer DV to uncompressed High Defi nition. Through a set of simple editing exercises you will become comfortable with standard editing techniques using Final Cut Pro. By the end of this class you will have a basic understanding of non-linear editing and video editing and be able to:
- Set up a basic computer editing station
- Capture video and audio onto your computer
- Organize your captured media
- Insert and arrange audio and video clips to create a show, and then add simple transitions
- Output your show to tape or video file
The primary focus is gaining competency and comfort with basic nonlinear editing techniques and vocabulary as they apply to cutting with Final Cut Pro.
INSTRUCTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Mike Cowie has been working in film and video for over 3 years. A graduate of NBCC Woodstock in TV and video production, Michael has experience in camera, lighting, sound, grip and editing.
