ROSI JORY
Still kayaking. The Bay of Fundy does not freeze!
The photo shows our January 1, 2010 paddle. We love to be blown straight into the new year and to enjoy the wintry scenery with the annual Saint John Polar Bear Dip at Mispec beach. (Photo credit: Fellow kayaker Malcolm Brett).
Still supporting worthwhile community efforts, e.g. 12 envelope paintings went to Fredericton's Gallery Connexion for their auction and new gallery search. My previous loan fund Christmas card (attached) this year was sent to Afghanistan by some Saint John school kids: http://www.loanfund.ca/
Still dreaming about "seeing" words and parts of speech in colours and shapes. English as train! English as orange houses, green locomotives and yellow boxes! Since in New Brunswick and Canada besides English and French we have native languages and now also oodles of "new" languages which immigrants brought to us from their original home countries, would those little "picto-codes" (as I called above picture devices) not be a neat and 'cool' way to find out more about the make-up of languages spoken by our neighbours and co-citizens?
Happy days and loads of filmmaking success,

VOTE NOW!
Grads from the NBCC Miramichi Electronic Game Design program have produced an iPhone game: Kingdom of Gnester. This is based on an old school project that they took to the PEI Game Garage in 2008 and is now the first game produced by their company Another Castle Studios.
Their Game Garage work was showcased at the Jalloo Festival of Animation and Games in 2009 where professional networking helped them to decide to form their company.
It is now featured on http://www.freeappaday.com and received a great response. Help us get the game to the number one spot before closing at the end of the month. There is no signup required. People just need to go to the site and vote for Kingdom of Gnester. Here is the link.
