SILVER WAVE BRINGS THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER
It’s hard to believe that the Film Co-op’s Silver Wave Film Festival turns 10 years old this year. Where did the time go?
The annual Silver Wave Film Festival (formerly Tidal Wave) features something for everyone. This year’s event will once again offer a showcase of multicultural, youth and student screenings, French and English programming of all genres and lengths and a comprehensive industry series which will bring experienced and emerging producers and filmmakers together.
Silver Wave is jam packed with exciting events and programming with diversity and depth. The Festival is the brainchild of the board and staff at the New Brunswick Filmmakers’ Co-operative.
Last year was a humdinger of a festival; the best yet in terms of festival screenings, parties and workshops and the overall quality of the films spotlighted.
The attendance was superb with many sold out screening programs and parties and events.
The success and public awareness of the festival allowed the Film Co-op to also further promote and expose its sponsors in even more ways through social networking avenues and other ways.

From our commitment to diversity in our programming and community atmosphere to our array of scintillating events, the New Brunswick Film Co-op looks forward to Silver Wave 2010 running November 4-7."

In addition to supplying the Fetal Film folks with an excuse to take a trip to Charlottetown, this represents another chance to showcase New Brunswick short film outside of the loving embrace of our Silver Wave Film Festival.
We'll keep you informed on all goings-on at the festival, and as Manic continues its short film circuit.
Cheers,
