The production manager on an independent production wears many hats in contrast to a commercial production. This workshop will cover: being hired as a volunteer PM, budgeting and breakdowns; setting up the production office where ever that may be; hiring volunteer crew with the director; workspace organization; production scheduling; locations, daily production reports; location management; petty cash; deal memos; cast contracts, craft services and much, much more!
INSTRUCTOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Britany Sparrow was born in British Columbia but relocated to Fredericton in 2004 to attend at UNB, finishing with a degree in English: Creative Writing and a certificate in Film Production in 2006. Brit got her Co-op start volunteering on Joel Thompson's feature film "They Didn't Make It" where she did continuity, production coordination, and acting. She has been production manager on 4 short films in the past year including 2 short film venture films, and has also recently completed her directorial debut "The Perfect Cliche" which was premiered at the Silver Wave Film Festival.
Most recently Brit has started work on her next film project and continues crewing on productions as production manager, script supervisor, and assistant director.
