Learn the basics of digital sound editing. The participants will set up a sound edit session, import audio from a variety of sources, edit, add sound effects and sync to a video source with time code, and basic mixing. This workshop will cover the necessary technical terms and sound post-production concepts to getting started with hands-on instruction. It will familiarize participants with the correct approach to digital sound editing.

INSTRUCTOR'S BIOGRAPHY

Rob graduated from the Center for the Arts and Technology from the Recording Arts Foundation program in 2004. He is currently finishing up a B.A. degree in History with a Film Certificate at U.N.B.

A Film Co-op member since 2006, Rob has worked as location sound recorder/mixer on projects such as Joel Thompson's They Didn't Make It, Britany Sparrow's A Perfect Cliche, and Joel Malliet's Sorry, I Love You as well as a number of upcoming projects that hope to appear in the 2008 Silver Wave Film Festival.

Rob also works as a freelancer recorder for Atlantic Mediaworks and other independent filmmakers.
