This full day workshop is designed to provide the participants with the necessary theory to make documentaries that are intriguing and challenging.
The workshop will cover the four basic steps of documentary filmmaking step-by-step. At the end, participants will be able to take away invaluable insights to incorporate into their projects.
INSTRUCTOR’S BIOGRAPHY
Semra N. Yüksel is a sociologist, researcher, documentary filmmaker and president of her own film production company, Acrolect International Inc. She has produced numerous compelling documentaries to heighten people’s knowledge about compelling Canadians and social issues.
Semra has taught numerous workshops on different topics nationally and internationally. Her most recent documentary “Sabian: The Cymbal Makers”, received an excellent response from audiences in Canada and USA.
Semra was the recipient of the 2004 Silver Wave Award in recognition of her professional contribution to film in New Brunswick.
