Workshop Instructor: Greg Hemmings

Description: The Outdoor Outdoor Film Festival will present a one-hour webinar for emerging filmmakers interested in creating outdoor adventure films for festival submission. Festival organizer Greg Hemmings will share the festival’s vision, highlight what makes outdoor stories connect with audiences, and offer practical advice on creating strong films with small crews and modest budgets. Local filmmakers whose work has screened or won at the festival will also share insights from their experience. The session will conclude with a Q&A and guidance on how to submit films to the festival.

Biography: Greg Hemmings is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and founder of Hemmings Films in Saint John, New Brunswick. His work in documentary, television, and film is known for its strong social impact and has earned national and international recognition. In addition to his filmmaking, he is also a mentor, speaker, and passionate advocate for storytelling that creates connection and change.
