IN-PERSON

Workshop Instructor: Drew Gilbert

Workshop Description: In this workshop participants will explore the potential to create mood in low-light conditions using practical lighting and motivated production lighting.  The workshop will combine theory with practice by having participants build lighting designs and practise filming scenes in a variety of low-light situations using motivated production lighting when necessary.   These will include a basic dialogue scene with lamps and room lighting, a candle light scene, and some special effects scenes like simulating light from a television lighting and using coloured lights. The focus will be on lighting design and problem solving but the workshop will also cover the filming procedure by recording scenes with dialogue and action.
