The NB Film Co-op and JL Legacy Fund proudly announce the JL John Young Filmmaker Award in honour of Jane LeBlanc and John Young, who lived life to the fullest and courageously took action in making their dreams a reality. A message that will hopefully inspire the winner of this award in realizing their dream of making films a reality.

The JL Filmmaker Award is for emerging resident NB filmmakers. The winner is announced at the annual Silver Wave Film Festival in November.

Deadline: September 30th annually.

Award Composition:

$1000 cash from The LeBlanc Family and generous donations.
$500 in equipment from NBFC.
$80 (full membership for two years) from the NBFC.
$500 in-kind value (workshopping of screenplay with professional screenwriter).
